Anyone know any good venison recipes?

put tabasco scauce, pepper, season salt, and warm water in a bag and shake it up then put venison fillet steak in the bag and mush it around then put butter in the pan and fry the steak for bout 10-15 mins or til doneAnyone know any good venison recipes?
Depends on what part you're cooking...


I'm partial to grilling back strap whole (rare to med rare) then slicing into medallions to serve...


Venison sirloin cut 1 1/2'; thick grill nicely...


The saddle can be roasted in the oven (135 degrees on a meat thermometer) as can the whole ham...


The shoulder can be cooked very slowly (205 degrees) until 'falling off the bone tender' and served like pulled pork


Rib racks can be frenched and cooked and served very much like a rack of lamb





All of the above can be marinated in basil, thyme, black pepper, soy sauce and red wine for 20 minutes minimum before cooking

Dad's Venison Meatloaf Recipe #251610

SERVES 4 -6





1 1/2 lbs ground venison


1/2 lb pork sausage


3 eggs


1 cup soft breadcrumbs


1 cup milk


1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup


1/2 cup onion, minced


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon pepper


1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


1 teaspoon sage





Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Mix venison and pork sausage with all ingredients EXCEPT soup.


Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish or pan.


Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.


Add mushroom soup during the last five minutes of baking.
