Good recipe for venison shoulder roast?

Venison tastes yummy, so you can do pretty much anything you wish.





Venison Roast-


2 whole onions chopped


Venison Shoulder


4 whole carrots chopped


5 whole celery chopped


4 glasses of red wine


1 can of beer


2 cups of chicken broth


5 whole garlic cloves


3 tbs of extra virgin olive oil


1 tps of oregano


1 tbs of dried mint


Pinch salt and pepper





In a bowl, place the shoulder then add the dry ingredients of oregano, mint, salt and pepper. Rub evenly, then pour the can of beer and allow to sit, occasional turn the shoulder and evenly distribute the material. In a large pan, add the diced carrots, whole garlic, onions and celery, allow to carmelize then add the chicken broth and wine, allow to simmer. Take the shoulder and place it in the pot, pour the contents of the bowl into the pot and place into an oven and turn it to 350 degrees. Every 10 minutes for the first 50 minutes, check on the shoulder and using a turkey bastor, allow the contents to be evenly distributed. After the first 50 minutes, add aluminum foil on top and increase the oven to 450, it should take an additional 10 minutes (depending on the size).
